Rory Galvin is MD of Galvin Global Education and has spent 19 years working in international education, 14 of them as a senior leader in Europe, Africa and the Middle East across UK, American and International Baccalaureate programmes. His last post, prior to Galvin Global Education, was as founding Head of Secondary at one of Dubai’s leading IB schools, a position he held for 5 years. Rory is an alumnus of the University of Bath’s Centre for Education in an International context, where he completed his MA in Educational Leadership and Management. He is also an accredited trainer for University College London Institute of Education, delivering the NPQS/ML courses here in Dubai. His professional interests span topics such as recruitment and retention of international school staff; school leadership; safeguarding; critical thinking and questioning; inquiry-based learning; and conceptual understandings. He has led accreditation and authorization initiatives in schools linked to various bodies such as the IB, CIS and NEASC, and has had substantial experience and training with DSIB inspections.
