Headmaster-The British School Al Khubairat
Mark Leppard MBE is the Headmaster of The British School Al Khubairat, the only British curriculum Embassy School of the UAE and one of the leading British curriculum schools in the Middle East. He is a passionate educator and wholeheartedly believes in lifelong learning, and a discerning focus on holistic education that ensures the student is at the heart of all decisions. Mark regularly writes educational articles, is invited onto academic panels and guests on various podcasts. Mark was invited to be a panellist for the Mohammed Bin Rashid Innovation Fund as an educational expert. Mark is a keen sportsman, he has successfully captained teams at various levels and most notably represented the Arabian Gulf at rugby. He is also an avid Spurs fan.
Before joining BSAK he was the Principal of Doha College, Qatar for 9 years and in 2015 was awarded an MBE for services to education. He was recently awarded a UAE Golden Visa as an expert in his field. He holds a Bachelor of Education and an M.Ed in educational leadership. A trained School Inspector, having completed school inspections across the globe, he is a member of HMC, AoBSO and is currently the Chair of BSME (British Schools of the Middle East).
