Leigh is an experienced school leader with over twelve years of executive leadership experience within the Middle East, including KSA, Abu Dhabi and Dubai. She is a registered KHDA and Council of International Schools (CIS) inspector and has also acted as an Education and Leadership Consultant and Aspiring Principal’s Mentor.
An extremely capable International Baccalaureate School leader, Leigh has a wealth of knowledge and experience in both the Secondary and Primary Education sectors and across a number of different curricula, having lived and worked in New Zealand, the United Kingdom, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates. Her most recent role has been the Primary Principal at GEMS International School, an IB World School in Dubai.
Originally from New Zealand, Leigh is a long-time expat, a global citizen, and mother to three ‘third culture kids’. As such, she understands the importance of and is committed to creating a school which not only allows students to reach their academic potential but also builds a community where international families feel a sense of belonging.
Leigh is passionate about the evolution of teaching pedagogies and, as a school leader, constantly challenges her own understanding of how we can best deliver opportunities which allow all children to reach their own excellence and also have a purposeful and positive impact on the world.
