Originally from Manchester, Leena has lived and worked in Dubai for nearly 15 years and proudly calls the UAE home. She is the Head of Secondary and AI Integration Lead at GEMS Winchester School Dubai, where she led the successful journey to becoming the first school outside the UK to achieve the AI Quality Mark Gold Award. Leena holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Cardiff University and a Master’s in Educational Leadership with distinction from Middlesex University Dubai. With nearly 20 years of experience in teaching and school leadership across both the UK and UAE, she has held roles including Head of Mathematics, Head of Sixth Form, Head of Middle School, and Head of Senior School. Leena has also completed the National Professional Qualification for Headship and served as a GCSE Mathematics Expert Examiner. She is passionate about purposeful leadership, inclusive innovation, and creating meaningful learning experiences for all students.
