Dr. Suleiman Hamdan

School Improvement Advisor - Sharjah Private Education Authority

Dr. Suleiman Hamdan is a global education expert, researcher, and a school improvement advisor with the Sharjah Private Education Authority (SPEA) in the United Arab Emirates. He works in designing and implementing effective school improvement systems and providing leadership and teacher development, school evaluation, and professional coaching and mentoring. He previously served as Director of Institutional Effectiveness at the American University in Dubai and as an education consultant in Michigan, United States.
Dr. Hamdan’s contributions to global education spans a period of over 30 years in the United States, Middle East, and Asia regions, where he served in various capacities, primarily in accreditation and school improvement. This included leading over 100 school system accreditations across the globe and working with school districts and universities in the United Arab Emirates and the United States.
His contributions included improved systems at the K-12 and university levels, where he led strategic planning, program evaluation and institutional and program accreditation. While serving at the American University in Dubai, he led the planning and implementation of strategic planning that resulted in improved university regional rankings, achievement of student success targets, enhanced utilization of technology, and rigorous outcome assessment implementation.
Dr. Hamdan holds a Master of Arts in Teaching, an Education Specialist in General Administration and Supervision and a Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) in Curriculum and Instruction from Wayne State University in Michigan, United States.
