Dr. Ashkelon Govender is an educational leader, teacher trainer, and lecturer based in Ras Al Khaimah. With a deep passion for education and a family-first mindset, he enjoys exploring new cultures through travel. He has visited 18 countries, each journey enriching his understanding and appreciation of diverse educational systems. Dr. Ashkelon has published his first children’s book on the UAE culture and heritage, inspired by his love for reading and belief that it cultivates future leaders. He is a co-author of a submitted journal article titled “The selves of South African expatriate teachers influencing teacher leadership practices in Gulf schools.” Dr. Ashkelon is dedicated to nurturing the potential of middle leaders and guiding them in their transition to senior leadership roles. His work emphasizes the importance of leadership development in creating impactful educational environments. Through his hard work, he aims to empower educators to become effective leaders who can inspire positive change.
