Ambreen is a goal driven educational leader committed to close the achievement gap and creating equitable learning conditions in school systems. She has worked in various leadership roles including Vice Principal, Head of Department of Mathematics and K-12 Professional Development Coordinator. She is skilled at helping schools and teachers create support systems that increase student engagement levels and reduce teacher burnout. Her work on improving student engagement is published in the book “Teachers Teaching Teachers” (Madden, 2017). Her recent projects include raising collective teacher efficacy through embedding Professional Learning Communities in schools. As part of this ongoing project, she has worked on system-level to increase teacher collaboration and improve student outcomes. For her work in her current school, Ambreen has been awarded twice the Innovation in Leadership award. Having moved from Long Island, New York in 2001, Ambreen lives in Abu Dhabi with her family.
