Alan brings to the UAE a wealth of experience as a world-class educator with business acumen as CEO of schools and schools’ groups. Over a seven-year commitment to the UAE, Alan has risen through the Emirati-owned Kings’ Education from Principal to Chief Executive Officer. He is a strong communicator who fundamentally understands that the welfare of UAE students is the number one priority, and that staff are the most prized asset of any company. Alan led Kings’ School Al Barsha to achieve the fastest achieved ‘Outstanding’ rating in the UAE. From Principal at Kings’ School Al Barsha in January 2015 he moved onto Director of Education and CEO of Kings’ Education in 2017. As well as being passionate about teaching and learning, he has been actively involved in school leadership related to Special Educational Needs and Students of Determination.

Alan’s current role as CEO at Taaleem, sees him supervise the strategic direction of the second largest premium education group in the UAE.

He has led the company to increased success in inspection outcomes, school academic results, enrolment, and profitability. In addition, he steered the company through the pandemic. He has been instrumental, with the Taaleem Board, in implementing the Mohamad Bin Rashid Scholarship Programme, growing The Charter School Programme with ADEK in Abu Dhabi and initiating the Dubai Schools Programme with The Executive Council of Dubai all focused on improving outcomes for Emirati Students.
